Lacy cookies


I couldn’t believe how simple these were when I first made them now, they are my go to quick recipe for yummy cookies!

50g butter
50g Demerara  sugar
50g plain flour
2  tablespoons golden syrup

Step 1:
Pre heat the open to 180°C /350° F / gas mark 4

Step 2:
Melt the butter in a saucepan on a medium heat. When the butter is melted take the pan of the heat.

Step 3:
Add the sugar and the golden syrup and stir. Then sift the flour into the pan and stir again.

Step 4:
Grease baking trays with some butter. Then spoon teaspoons of the dough onto the trays. Flatten the top down with a spoon and bake for about 12 mins.

Step 5:
Leave the cookies to cool on the tray for 2 mins then use a fish slice or pallet knife to lift the cookies onto a wire cooling rack to completely cool.

Step 6:
Serve and enjoy
