Little things in life

Sometimes the little things in life make it just a bit better so here is a mention to all the things that people do that make my life better.

  1. Maddy and Eliza for the morning doorbell shanagons (they like to ring my doorbell several times and sometimes even when I have already opened the door!)
  2. Eliza for being my head rest for my pre school naps on the train!
  3. Harriet for smiling at me when I come in the room
  4. For my sis for not getting too annoyed at me when I am in a annoying mood.
  5. My mum for attacking me with cuddles in the mornings…and evenings
  6. For the little things that you do Maddy that make me smile (lama juice!)
  7. For Eliza when we have several cookies…
  8. For Sophie for chats about pancakes!
  9. For Saskia who makes my hair look sassy and takes my pom bears.
  10. For Charlotte, Saskia,Eliza, Sophie and Harriet for being my friends no matter what.

Start of a new chapter

Hi guys, recently I left scouts 😦  I must say Friday evenings are not ever going to be the same!  I am obviously very sad to leave my group and see less of all the scouts I have grown to love being around.  If you are considering going to scouts I can’t erge you enough to give it a go. I had the best 4 years. Filled with fun, laughter,  new friends and learning new skills, I wouldn’t change those years for anything.

I must say I find it very hard to think that I was an annoying little 10 year old who started scouts rather shy soon to learn how to fit in where in a place that if you have to say something you might have to yell “HEY LISTEN” if you actually want anyone to listen! It was of course helped with some firm friends. Sophie I wish I could turn the clock back and do it all again with you. When we didn’t worry about GCSE’s,makeup or  outfit choices judging by some frightful pictures of me! You will always be the one I text in block caps when a major disaster happens. This is just thanks for the times you made me laugh, cheered me up, consoled me and gave me a hug when I just need a Sophie cuddle. It is also a reminder that even though we won’t see each other as much you still have to do all of the above!!!

Sophie made scouts  enjoyable for me but it wouldn’t be the same without lots of other people. Maisie you finally have time to go to all those parties! Niamh I am sorry for constantly taking selfies on your phone (I’m not!) And all the others; Will, Jack, Tom,Ben, Bushy (melons),shannon (moo) ,Ronan,Izzy, Abi, and Megan (ginger ninja!) Sorry if i missed you off it want intentional!

I of course have to say a big thank you to my scout leader, Deadwood (david) thanks for 4 years of fun and something to look forward to at the end of the week! So scouts has finished but a here is to a  new chapter. I have started volunteering at beavers and love working with them (they are sooo cute). Much love to my troup ( 1st Ripley)

All in

Now this title would probably break my friend ( you know who you are) but it isn’t a intentional euphemism. It is actually an way that I have recently decided to try and live my life. Notice the word try! I try very hard to practice what I preach but it is sometimes very hard to be totally honest with yourself.

I while ago I wasn’t having a great day. It was one of those off days where nothing seems to go to plan. I decided that if I was going to do something I might as well do it to my best ability. So from now on I will either try my best or not at all. On my lock screen of my iPad I have a saying that has become a bit of a mantra of mine ‘Life is short, don’t be lazy” I think my main problem is I just can’t be bothered. I just don’t want to right now or I will do it later. Sound familiar?

Good luck if you are trying it out

School and stuff

Helllloooo… wow it has been a while! I really hoped I would be able to write you guys something over the summer but with my jam packed summer I didn’t even get to write a blog post then. Any whoo. So I am 3 weeks into school (meh) I wish transitioning between years was easier. There is homework galore and by the way its your GCSEs next year so no pressure on tests…!!!!! I have been keeping up so far but am very much looking forward to half term. My form are really lovely and its really helped have my bestie to keep me going. (its always nice to start the day with a hug and a smile)

5 organising tips from me !

  1. Try try try and get homework set on the day it is set. I know it is hard because it is soooooo tempting to watch the latest Casualty or what ever but resist because with a bit of luck you can watch it later and avoid doing homework on the train/car/bus!
  2. Got 20 mins of time…squeeze in some extra work. Read a bit on in the book. Look at the next page or even just organise your folder if it is looking a bit of a mess.
  3. Take a break. If you have done an hour or two take a timed break to relax but make sure the break isn’t too long or you put it off.
  4. Music? now personally I like music when doing homework for some of the less challenging subjects. Although I work better without music for things like maths ect..
  5. Plan it. My parents stressed this a lot over the last couple of years and I must say I am glad they did. Make sure you write it down. Don’t rely on the scribbled note on your hand or the group chat on what’s app. If it helps (it helped me) get a really cute planner that it pretty/practical or both!

Birthday Haul and Topshop

I have been very busy lately so I have not got round to posting but I found a spare 20 mins to write this for you lovelies! Recently I have had lots of tests and other work that has dominated my life a bit but here I am and a couple of days ago it was by birthday so I thought I would tell you about what I got.

I didn’t really want much for my birthday so I got quite a lot of topshop vouchers and an amazon voucher ( which is a good thing!). I did get the only thing I really asked for which was a waffle machine 🙂  I haven’t used it yet but I assure that I will give you a full update when I do. I also got some cute little stickers for my planner and the most adorable notebook!

Going back to topshop I have been pleasantly surprised by the addition to their website. If you visit it you can do a short quiz and they actually put together clothes they think you will like! I find this so useful and love the clothes they pop together. This is great when you have vouchers and you are not completely sure what you want or even just browsing!

Thank you all for the birthday wishes on instagram

Hi guys this post is all about how a compliment can go along way.

You know when you feel self-conscious about your hair or clothes ect… ( if you don’t good for you 🙂 you’re awesome too) Then you get that rare occasion when someone says that they like your hair ect suddenly you love that dress or your new hair style because that person gave you the boast of confidence that you needed and although you don’t know it your grateful for that person. My message for this post is…

  1. Be confident because people should accept you for who you are.
  2. Spread confidence by giving compliments.
